Edo Kite 1995
240 x 150 cm (3.6 square metres)
17 control lines of approx. 30 metres in length
Weight: 0.5 kg
Windspeed 3-6mph Blackheath 11/07/2021
First encounter. Ferrules need fixing, one diagonal ribbon missing.
Ferrules re-taped and ribbon replaced 18/06/2019.
Light wind only. Launch plan: lay kite face down LE towards line anchor point, fit spars but do not tension. Turn kite face up and anchor securely. Comb bridle lines propping kite up if needed and conditions allow. Turn kite LE up, tension back curve, then launch!
Cervia 2026, Sunday 26th April.
The bridle lines for the Jørgen Møller Hansen Edo Kite, 1995 were separated and secured laid out over the sand under the red and black structures until the breeze was deemed sufficient.
It was a quick and clean launch into a near perfect breeze at about 2:20pm. The flight ended at about 2:50pm.
It is not easy to get images which include the kite and all the bridle lines.

I had been hoping to fly this kite for a few weeks now.
It turned out to be a slightly casual configuration and flight.
The bridle lines fell tangle free which felt like a positive 'indication'!
Almost instant gratification with beautiful catenary in the bridle lines.
It was only when dismantling the kite that I realised that the vertical spars had not been inserted into the spar tubes!
