After the excitement of travelling, dealing with missing bags and delivering those that had arrived to Adriasol 111 it was great to have a low level day on the 23rd. We built all the Revolution kites and established our arena site.
No photos from the first day but there may have been an arena slot.
There was some Rev flying on Thursday and a team of nine was configured using both sets of Not Zens. This became the signature flight for the event in 12, 14 or 16 flier configuration interspersed with a basic 6 flier set-up for the lightest wind conditions.
Thanks to Sara Rizzetto for posting this image.
There were a few low wind moments throughout the event when the Rev stacks were flown.
Friday morning was the first occasion...
The 3m Rokkaku by Jørgen Møller Hansen that was gifted to the collection in 2025 was the first to be flown at Cervia in 2026 on Saturday morning.
Friday 24th April.
Stacks were flown early in the day.
Ashley was flying the JMH 2007 1.5 sail stack which had benefitted from a careful setup ensuring that all the link lines were set correctly and not looped over end caps. Philippe was flying his red and black stack which benefits from custom fittings avoiding snags.
Six fliers flew JMH 1992 Not Zen sails
Andy, Sébastien, Johnny, Chris, Philippe and Ashley were flying.
Seeing the kites side-on reveals a spacing element that is probably not apparent to the fliers most of the time.
Saturday 25th April.
The fifth 3m Rokkaku by Jørgen Møller Hansen that was gifted to the collection in 2025 was the first to be flown at Cervia in 2026, the same as in 2025. Conditions were just about perfect.
