First up were the two 1991 Jørgen Møller Hansen Sanjo Rokkaku kites that we have not flown at Berrington previously.
Thanks to Marian Linford for photographs at Berrington Hall.
There was a light easterly breeze on Saturday but the passing thermals shifted the direction and strength of the breeze continuously throughout the day. The temperature peaked at about 31C.

The Late Delta has a new lightweight frame so this was a 'test flight' which ended with a broken spar as the kite overflew the top of the wind window and 'fell out of the sky'!
The banners had been pitched close to the shade of the tree but we had to follow the shade towards the end of the afternoon.
The 1988 Flare was flown and also had a tendency to overfly in the extremely variable conditions. This made it quite challenging when flying directly into the sun in the middle of the afternoon.
Ashley flew the red kite made by Kisa Kirsten Sauer which is a small version of the 3m Windwalker with a flying line attached.
The 1992 design kites in the Not Zen format were flown on Saturday.
